T-Shirt Design Contest Winner

Kay Cope is the owner and artist of  Scotty + Calvin Designs, based in Raymond, Maine. Inspired by rugged coasts, deep woods, campy nostalgia, and the natural beauty of New England, she creates artwork in various mediums including: watercolor, alcohol inks, pen sketches, and digital illustration. She sells her artwork in the form of weatherproof stickers that can be found in gift shops, coffee shops, book shops, and other small businesses around Maine and beyond.

She knew for her Pumpkinfest design that she wanted it to feature her watercolor pumpkin that has been a best selling sticker for many years. She paired it with playful typography and swirling waves for a burst of color.

Although she has never attended Pumpkinfest before, the festival has long been a dream of hers when she lived out of state and hoped to someday move to Maine. Having people wear artwork she created for a festival and town she dreamed of for years feels incredibly surreal and special.
